DLR’s second ever ‘Peer to Pier’ networking walk took place last weekend with hundreds of business people and entrepreneurs taking part.
The innovative format once again proved very popular with the hundreds of people attending with lots of business being done.

The event is organised by the Local Enterprise Office in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. Owen Laverty, Head of Enterprise at DLR, said: “It was a thoroughly enjoyable day in the sunshine and the feedback was once again very positive. It is a unique format which proved extremely popular in March, so we decided to run it again this month. Comments from participants suggests that there is something about the act of walking that creates a stronger and more lasting connection which is very conducive to doing business”.

The networking format comprises of a series of points along the walk where people are encouraged to “swap” their walking partners before they reach the end of the Pier, where they are supplied with ice cream and coffees before returning to one of the local sailing clubs where the networking continues.

The Peer to Pier walk took place on the 20th of April at 3.30 pm on the Dún Laoghaire East Pier.
