Following on from their 2015 success in winning Best Parenting Blog (Company) at the Blog Awards Ireland and Best Social Media (2nd year running) at the OMIG Awards, Mykidstime.com has won Best Blog Award as well as scooping the Overall Marketing Leadership Award at the 2016 OMIG Digital Marketing Awards.
Over 200 companies entered the awards which are supported by LEO Galway and The Connacht Tribune Group with 6 awards being given at the ceremony at the Town Hall Theatre Galway on Tuesday 10th May, following discussion panels on the theme of Digital Innovation with guest panelists Hugh Hessing CEO Aviva Ireland, David Tighe Head of Innovation Bank of Ireland, Meabh Connellan Head of Digital Vizeum Ireland and Gillian Horan CEO of The Pudding.
Jill Holtz CEO of Mykidstime said “To win Best Blog Award was thrilling but to then win the Overall Marketing Leadership Award was just fantastic. The quality of the competition and the standards of the digital marketing being practised in Galway get higher every year. To be a winner of an OMIG Award for the third year running really is a testament to the strategy we have put in place the last 3 years achieving high quality content for parents that they enjoy reading and using our social media to engage parents with the content.”
Offering a variety of content on its blog for parents, from parenting tips to ideas for things to do to food & recipes, the most popular pieces in 2015 included The Last Time Poem which had over 600,000 pageviews and 100,000 social shares, and 50 Outstanding Places to Take Your Child This Summer which had over 80,000 pageviews and 20,000 social shares.
