When Motorola recently announced their new budget smartphone, the Moto G, we didn’t give it much coverage. Motorola have released only a handful of phones to the Irish market in the last few years and we fully expected the Moto G to follow in the Moto X’s foot steps and not see availability here.
Turns out we were somewhat wrong. The Moto G went up for pre-order yesterday on the UK website Clove. The great thing about Clove is that they deliver to Ireland.
The 8GB version of the Moto G is available for a total price, including shipping of
£174 £166.80. At today’s conversion rates that works out at just short of €208 €198 for a fully SIM unlocked phone that will work on any of the Irish Networks. While the Moto G is not at the bleeding edge of specs, that’s still a pretty impressive price.
If you are in the market for a mid range device check out this link for more details. It is expected to be in stock from early December so you should have your phone just in time for Christmas!
Update: Since publishing the post Clove have dropped their list price to £148 and as someone points out in the comments below Amazon have reduced it further to £135, making it an even more impressive deal.
