I was a leading Barrister, with large property interests, but walked away from my gilded life a decade ago for the ultimate challenge of an entrepreneurial journey where there are no guarantees but the opportunities are unlimited.
My entrepreneurial life started disastrously as my property empire crumbled in the crash leaving my family and me homeless in 2009. It took five hard years, when my wife and I and our x3 children lived in my sister-in-law’s back bedroom, to rehab our finances and rebuild a financial fortress.
I am now one of NI’s leading Entrepreneurs with wide ranging business interests in Technology, FMCG, Franchise & Property. I am blessed to have an amazing Team in The Wall Group (Spar & Subway stores) which enables me to build upon other entrepreneurial interests whilst The Wall Group still trades successfully.
For many years I pro bono mentored hundreds of other Entrepreneurs fusing my unique mix of energy, empathy and knowledge creating the #SecretSauce which changed the lives of many. Ultimately I became NI’s most in demand mentor having to develop the Speed Mentor concept to keep up with demand. I’ve since helped create abundance and huge success for client mentee’s through working on Mindset, Motivation and Massive Action.
My mission is to become Northern Ireland’s No 1 Entrepreneur by objective measurement. I will achieve this by continuing to build our business interests, inspiring our Teams to greatness, and changing the mindset of our country creating a #NewNI where we network and connect with each other, banish the scarcity mindset, chase down Gorilla Goals and celebrate success.
The latest chapter in my entrepreneurial journey started in 2017 when I began to look for opportunities in the tech & startup space. Ultimately Angel Investing in several startups in fintech, legaltech, VR & beautytech.
I learnt so much from the Angel Investing and through a growing relationship with Andrew Cuthbert, tech & business strategy maven, we identified a gap in the market for private investment in early stage startups in NI. And so The Change was born in June 2019.
