LiveScore Announce They Will Stream Every UEFA Champions League Game for the 2021/22 Season
Popular sports score-checking app, LiveScore, today announced its plan to stream each UEFA Champions League fixture for the 2021/22 season, exclusively to Irish users, a major addition to their exponential growth as the complete football mobile app.
Since being founded in 1998, LiveScore has acquired over 56 million users. The app began as simply a score-keeping mechanism for fans of football, basketball, ice hockey, tennis, and cricket; but later expanded into something more of an all-things-incorporated go-to for fans of these sports.
With specificity to football, the app streams live coverage from matches in multiple European top-flight divisions, including Germany’s Bundesliga, Italy’s Seria A, France’s Ligue 1, and Spain’s La Liga, among a host of other lesser leagues.
The app also recently launched its ‘LiveScore betting’ service, which is incorporated into the original app by providing live match odds, predictions, and a news section.
With various TV providers claiming certain rights to European football, the addition of Champions League coverage to LiveScore’s wide range of football on offer is massive. This means users can watch all teams in Europe’s elite competition at home, or on the go.
As well the announcement which will see 104 games (plus an additional 33 non-exclusive games) exclusively aired to Irish users, a deal was recently landed by LiveScore with athlete phenomenon, Cristiano Ronaldo, as their main ambassador – a testament to their rise to prevalence as the go-to football app.
Guy-Laurent Epstein, Marketing Director of UEFA, described the coverage on offer as “innovative” and “comprehensive”, expressing his excitement on behalf of UEFA to bring “the best of European club football to Irish fans for free”.
The agreement for LiveScore to stream these fixtures is subject to a three year deal which will run to 2024.
