Come and join us on Wednesday the 15th of February from 6pm for what promises to be a lively discussion on the hot topic of social media and its striking impact on elections. Our guest speaker Antoinette Hoes (CEO of Wunderman Amsterdam) who will be speaking at the Dublin Tech Summit, together with representatives from a number of social media platforms will deliver a series of engaging lightning talks on this and other relevant subjects including the issues of fake news and hacking. It will be an opportunity to meet with new and existing contacts over a beer and some food.

When is it on?
Feb 15 – 6pm (Netherlands Embassy, 160 Merrion Road, Dublin 4)
What was the idea of the event?
This event coincides with the Dublin Tech Summit. The idea is to get in contact with, and to create a networking opportunity for the many Dutch young professionals working in the various tech companies in Dublin. The theme of the event will be centered around the “Dutch elections data blitz” with a challenging statement for each company to discuss, to include the impact of social media, fake news and hacking.
The event will be a series of lightning talks, with a number of guest speakers from various social media platforms (f.i. Antoinette Hoes, Wunderman Amsterdam), highlighting the impact of social media on elections and also other relevant subjects including the issues of fake news and hacking.
What opportunities are on offer for attending?
It will be an opportunity to meet with new and existing contacts in the Dublin tech scene in an informal setting, over a beer and some food.
