When and where is LibertyCon 2020 on?

The event takes place April 3-5, 2020, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington DC. In the past we’ve had speakers like Governor Gary Johnson, Edward Snowden and Steve Forbes, to name just a few. This year, John Mackey, Miriam Isa, Vernon Smith, Nassim Taleb and other stellar speakers will take the stage to inspire and challenge us.

How many years has it been going?

The event has been taking place for over 10 years. The conference was previously called the International Students For Liberty Conference but had its name changed 3 years ago to LibertyCon.

What was the inspiration to start it?

The inspiration for starting the event was to bring together pro liberty students from across the United States. The conference now brings together pro liberty students from around the world.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

There are a lot of things to look forward to, which include engaging debates, inspiring presentations, professional networking opportunities, connecting with the over 70 partner organizations who sponsor the conference, and our annual awards dinner.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

– Meeting top notch speakers on a variety of issues and topics

– Watching engaging debates on hot topics

– Participating in our career fair, which is sponsored by various organizations looking to hire

– Purchasing a VIP ticket for high profile conference add ons

– Attending our annual awards dinner

Who will be speaking?

– Right now all of our speakers can be found here (which will be updated over the next few months). Our headline speakers right now are John Mackey (CEO of Whole Foods), Vernon Smith (Nobel prize winning economist), and Nassim Taleb.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Tips for getting the most out of the conference is simple. Bring your interest and intrigue, and get prepared for an action packed weekend of content and networking.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

People can book their tickets at www.libertycon.com. In addition to booking tickets, you can also book your hotel room through our registration form (for only $155/night). There are also $150 travel scholarships for students to help with getting to DC.
