LG have had a pretty poor relationship in the past with their customers when it comes to Android smartphones. They are trying to address this with the upcoming Optimus G.

So far from what we know about this phone it is shaping up to be pretty special (if leaks are to be believed) but it will be interesting to see can it win people over and actually get people buying it.

The phone is expected to be announced in the very near future but this is what we believe the specs may be:

  • 1.5Ghz Quad Core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (which has been destroying benchmarks of late!)
  • 13MP rear camera
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB onboard storage
  • 131.9 x 68.9 x 8.45mm, 145 grams
  • 4.7″ True HD IPS Plus 1280 x 768 display
  • Android 4.0.x

LG have released the following teaser Ad in their home market (hope your Korean is good!)

Update: And it’s official. All of the specs above proved to be accurate with the inclusion of Bluetooth 4.0, LTE, NFC, DLNA, MHL but no expandable memory. No word on when it will reach our shores but it is expected to launch next week in Korea.
