Launch a startup in 3 days. Sprinters opportunity for women, October 31 – November 2nd, Dublin

By @SimonCocking

The three day startup Sprinters promotes more women in tech. Sprinters takes place from Oct. 31st to Nov. 2nd, 2015, in Dublin. Sprinters comprises of an online bootcamp a week before the three day startup. The bootcamp covers startup basics such as lean methodologies. By absorbing the foundations to build a startup, participants will be well equipped to hit the ground running from day one at Sprinters.

Having taken part in startup hackathons across South America and Africa Founder Mevish Aslam stated ‘with Sprinters we are revising the traditional format by introducing an online boot camp. Engaging the startup mindset for maximum impact from day one, that’s our aim!’ Across three days 30 participants will develop an idea into an MVP to be launched on day three with a presentation in front of a selected jury.

Expert mentors will be available to help throughout the development phase. Filling the tech gender gap “There is a huge lack of women in tech. For instance, last year at the worlds biggest tech event The Web Summit, only 15% of attendees were women and only three female CEOs were listed on the Summit’s Top 100 Tech CEO’s.

The women in tech diaspora extends beyond tech events. This is one of the reasons, besides our own experience why we – myself and Co-Founder Saskia Naujok have been working on Sprinters in between our startups.” The two women drum up the tech world to bring these numbers to an all-time high by giving women the opportunity, resources and confidence to bring their skills to the Googles and Facebooks of the future. Be part of the movement! Online applications to participate are now open.

Space is limited to 30 ambitious women from a variety of professional backgrounds to bring the best of tech and business together. Inspiring speakers and mentors will guide the teams of up to 5 through the process of idea and product development and pitch preparation in front of a jury panel.
