KEMP Technologies Named as a Visionary in 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Delivery Controllers

Limerick-based KEMP Technologies today announced that it has been included in the Gartner 2016 Magic Quadrant for Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) for the fourth consecutive year and positioned as a Visionary for the second year running. KEMP was also recognised in the inaugural release of Gartner Critical Capabilities research for the ADC market, which enables enterprises to fine-tune their vendor selections according to specific deployment types and use case criterion.

“For the past decade, KEMP has been differentiating from other ADC vendors by focusing on the application-centric buyer and offering market-leading software-based ADC platforms that cover the widest range of deployment types and flexible licensing and consumption models,” said Peter Melerud, CMO, KEMP Technologies. “We believe that being the only vendor to have scored in the top six for all six use cases, while offering strong enterprise and mid-market feature sets, is a testament to our commitment to supporting the future ADC requirements of our enterprise and cloud service provider customers.”

The Gartner Critical Capabilities research for the Application Delivery Controller market provides customers with an intuitive checklist to compare vendor offerings and how they address specific real-world use cases. The use cases covered in this year’s Critical Capabilities for Application Delivery Controllers are:

•               Infrastructure Load Balancing

•               Standard Enterprise Applications

•               Customised Enterprise Apps

•               Mid-Market ADC

•               Mode 2 Application Development

•               Mode 1 / Mode 2 Hybrid ADC

“KEMP is keenly focused on supporting customers that are adopting emerging technologies to help transform their businesses to become more agile and competitive,” says Melerud “We’re disrupting the application delivery market, especially for cloud and bimodal use cases. We believe the fact that Gartner has recognised us is a powerful demonstration of our vision and ability to execute on it.”
