Jori Falkstedt of Global Spy is Making Customer Research Easier

What is your background briefly?

I’ve been an entrepreneur or a partner for nearly 20 years. At the beginning of the 2000s when China’s imports were on the rise, my importing company imported various machines and equipment from China. At that time, I bought background studies from manufacturers of my agents who carefully examined the manufacturer’s backgrounds and manufacturing methods. In 2012, we founded J2P2-Invest Oy, which is still doing similar research that we previously bought from our agents and at the same time our agent joined our company.

1 min pitch for what you are doing now?

I am still also the Managing Director and shareholder of a Finnish import company and our investigation company J2P2-Invest Oy. Due to unfinished Finnish laws on the crypto currencies and the ICOs, we had to set up a new company, GlobalSpy Ou in Estonia. In Estonia, ICO’s legislation and taxation are much clearer. We transferred our entire business to a new company immediately once the ICO is over and our entire business moves to crypto based payments.

So, we will continue our investigations on companies and products as before. Lately, our operations have focused more on simple background research, where our customers who use different financial transactions need information about their customers’ political connections and money laundering information.

Does it seem like a logical background to what you do now?

Yes, our business has grown from our own need.

Why did you get involved with this ICO?

Larger investigations that could cost hundreds of euros to consumers, we had to find a way for a consumer or company to get access to sell and earn with the research they have bought. The blockchain allows you to make a purchase process so that our customers can get payment quickly and automatically as they sell their investigations to other customers. The block chain also allows us to not have to transfer the funds of our customers, but to get fully automated without the funds even going through us. Also investigation data is stored in smart contracts so new buyers can be sure it’s still the original.

Why do you think it is such a powerful idea?

Larger studies are often costly and there are many other people and businesses that would benefit from the same knowledge. There is currently no place where studies can be purchased ready. There is also no place where buyers can find the purchased information. Our new approach will enable this, and with the help of the ICO, we will be able to expand our business to more international sectors.
