Jlab Rewind Wireless Retro Headphones, reviewed

This is definitely a retro product, it has that look and feel to it, and is also quite light, which actually feels a little unusual these days, compared to many headphones out on the market. That said the price is very low, so this is probably pitched at the cheap and cheerful, ready to go market. We did wonder who it would appeal to, is it teens, twenty somethings, or those in their forties and fifties who actually remember headphones like this. When you review it, it is not always clear who the intended user of the product is.

Most of the team who tried it out thought they were fine, but then tended to gravitate back to their own more high end devices, expressing preferences for the comfort and snugness of the more surrounding ear pieces. Naturally several of these users were too young for this to be a retro related product, as they weren’t there first time around. For the older trialists, they liked their comfy headsets. This is not to say that this product won’t do well, but rather it probably needs to be clear about who it is aimed at. Then again maybe, based on price, we are just over thinking this one, as these could be your handy, wire free, grab with you when you go travelling sort of pair.
