#Japance: AidCoin Calls for Crypto Donations After Raising $100,000 in AID on Twitter for Japan Flood – Company Pledges to Match Total Funds

AidCoin and Binance Respond to Japan Flood Crisis by Raising Social Media Awareness and Now Pledges to Match Total Funds Raised in AID

The past few days have been consumed by news of the record rainfall causing severe flooding destroying hundreds of houses in Hiroshima, Ehime and other prefectures in Western Japan. Over 100 lives have been lost, and a mass devastation has been left behind from what has proven to be the deadliest rainfall in the past 35 years.

Crypto to the rescue: As the world processes the effects of the flood, and reaches out to provide relief for its aftermath, the crypto community has stepped in to the help restore balance in Japan. Multi-language cryptocurrency exchange Binance has already contributed a $1M donation, and is continuing to call on “crypto friends and partners” on all channels to participate in urgent fundraising. As announced on Twitter by company CEO, Changpeng Zhao last Saturday.

Inspired by such a heartfelt plight, AidCoin, the ERC20 token launched by auction platform CharityStars, has since joined forces with Binance by utilizing its own blockchain-based ecosystem to fundraise for the people of Japan. The company has already attracted an astounding amount of attention on Twitter through its highly effective campaign; donating $5 worth of its AID every single time the following post was retweeted.

The campaign instantly transformed users into active instigators of support for Japan, and the original tweet was retweeted over 26,000 times, allowing AidCoin to generate $100,000 worth of funding.

However, the campaign rages on, and AidCoin are still urging the online crypto community of supporters to make affordable donations in crypto to AIDChain’s Japan Relief fundraising campaign page. One lucky donor will be in with the chance of joining the AidCoin team to the  BlockShow conference (powered by CoinTelegraph) held in Las Vegas, between 20th – 21st of August, as stated in today’s tweet.

Moreover, AidCoin has generously pledged to match all funds raised within its dedicated AIDChain page. In using its payment gateway, AIDPay, donations can be made in 23 different cryptocurrencies are converted into AidCoin within a single AIDChain wallet.

About AidCoin:

AidCoin is an ERC20 compliant utility token that will provide transparency in the nonprofit sector, allowing individuals to track their charitable donations through the AIDChain platform. AIDChain provides an ecosystem of services through an easy-to-use interface, including an internal exchange to convert major cryptocurrencies into AidCoin, a built-in wallet to store and donate easily, an explorer to track donations transparently, tools to connect donors with all the actors involved in the nonprofit sector and templates of smart contracts to run fundraising campaigns. AidCoin additionally allows charities to integrate a donation button, called AIDPay, on their website that enables the acceptance of cryptocurrencies for their fundraising campaigns. Donors can donate in any cryptocurrency or altcoin that will be converted into AidCoin at the current exchange rate. AidCoin is conceived and developed by CharityStars – a leading VC-backed fundraising platform which will be the first to utilize AIDChain and to accept AidCoin within its own ecosystem of charities, donors, celebrity donors and events.
