it@Cork Shines A Light On Technology Leaders

it@Cork, the European Tech Cluster, are shining a light on technology leaders and asking for entries for the it@Cork Leader Awards in advance of the October 31st closing date.

The annual awards, now in their 8th year, honour those who have achieved and continue to achieve excellence in the Tech industry. This year it@Cork have added new categories in recognition of the changing landscapes of Tech companies.

“The it@Cork Leader Awards have always honoured organisations, individuals and performance across a number of categories. This year we will focus on the full spectrum of the technology ecosystem in Cork by adding new categories including Best Technology SME and The One to Watch (early stage startup),” explained Norma O’Callaghan, Chairman of the it@Cork  Leaders Awards committee.

Past winner of the it@Cork Leader Awards have gone on to achieve incredible success, both nationally and internationally, including Qumas, Trustev and Voxpro to name but a few. 

Denis Collins, chair of it@Cork, European Tech Cluster, called on companies and organisations across all sectors to apply for the awards this year, to recognise innovation in their organisations, and also the teams and people that make it happen.

From schools to IT departments to startups and business leaders, the awards are open to private and public sector, education and research organisations, startups, established business as well as tech companies”, said Denis Collins, chair of it@Cork , European Tech Cluster.

The October 31st closing date for applications is approaching so we would actively encourage anyone who is considering submitting an application to do so,” he added.

The new it@Cork Leader Award categories include Sustained Excellence (Large Company), Best Technology SME, IT Transformation Project, The One to Watch (Early Stage Start Up), High Potential Start Up and Excellence in Education.

Applications are now invited for the Leaders Awards, which will presented at the it@Cork Leaders Awards Dinner on Thursday, 20th November 2014. See www.itcork.ie for further details.
