Doro has entered into a strategic retail agreement with NCBI, the national sight loss organisation. The charitable organisation is now offering Doro’s mobile and fixed line devices through its shops in Dublin and Kilkenny and online at www.ncbi.ie. NCBI is Ireland’s leading sight loss charity and offers support, advice and training to people affected by vision impairment. The organisation’s shop offers a carefully selected range of assistive products specifically tailored to the needs of people who are blind or vision impaired.
Doro’s mobiles and telephones have been designed to have extra large and clear screens, making them ideal for people who have reduced vision. Doro’s mobiles have some clever functions, specifically designed to help users who have sight issues, like the font size and colour combinations to increase contrast.
Des Kenny, CEO of NCBI Group, said: “NCBI’s shop provides practical solutions to many of the problems that people with sight loss encounter. Many of those who use our services are dealing with sight loss later in life, which can leave them vulnerable to becoming isolated. Staying in contact with friends and family is essential so easy-to-use mobiles and landline telephones are very popular in our shop. Adding Doro to our offering is a significant step forward in our commitment to providing the best solutions for our customers. The company has worked hard to ensure its range is sensitive and caters for the specific needs of an audience with varying levels of sight. Doro’s attention to detail within its designs ensures users can easily stay connected both inside and outside their homes.”
Chris Millington, Managing Director of Doro Ireland, commented: “Our relationship with NCBI is a perfect way to reach those who may experience reduced vision. NCBI is a well-respected charity that does a huge amount of excellent work in this area and we’re viewing this as the start of a long relationship.”
Doro’s devices are currently being showcased in NCBI’s shops in Dublin and Kilkenny.
