iOS Update 6.1.3

Apple today released a new iOS update, 6.1.3 that fixes a flaw that allows someone to access an iPhone by bypassing the lockscreen. This bypass needed a fairly convoluted step by step process but once achieved allowed someone to make calls, check voicemail and see photos stored on the device.

The update also adds some improvements to Apple Maps app for users in Japan.

iPhone users can update their devices by simply opening Settings, choose General-Software Update and then download and install the update over the air.
