iOS 6 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is set for release this Wednesday, September 19th. As well as full Facebook integration, we will see Apple’s new Maps app for the first time, and over 200 new features including Passbook, a sporty Siri, shared Photo Streams, and lots of fine tuning of the Phone app with innovations such as Do Not Disturb.
In previous years, Cupertino has fired up its update servers early in the morning US Pacific Time, so start looking for the update around 6pm Irish time. You can download and install iOS 6 direct to your device by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
