Flexible workspace provider, Iconic Offices, have announced they are renovating the 200-year-old former IAWS premises at 151 Thomas Street, set to open this Spring. Transforming the significant heritage building into 70,000 sq ft of design-led workspace accommodating c.900 workstations with an in-house café.
The front portion of the building will contain c.40,000 sq ft of Georgian style office space, interconnecting to the back warehouse space which will be made up of c.30,000 sq ft of exposed brick and beams office space. Housing up to 900 workstations, comprising of coworking, studios and private offices.
Formerly the IAWS HQ and a seed warehouse, the historical references to 151 Thomas Street date as far back as 1780. This poignant Dublin city landmark will be transformed into a contemporary workspace. The majority of the original features will be retained and restored to honour the history and charm of the building while modernising the development for the needs of today’s business professionals.
The Grainhouse will offer everything that professionals and companies require under one roof. Clients will be able to rely on world-class IT infrastructure, acquire the support of on-site community teams, avail of flexible options enabling expansion and growth, as well as enjoy relaxed high-design lounges for downtime and after-hour events. Additionally, the space will offer amenities such as two internal heated courtyards, large event space holding up to approx 100 people as well as plans for a café and restaurant, all of which will be located on the ground floor.
