The HUWDER 110W 5 port charging station is an extremely powerful charging device for just about any mobile device you may have.
If your house or office is anything like our own, there are no doubt more phones, tablets, cameras and laptops needing to be charged than there are power sockets available!
When I am not in the office (thankfully more often these days), my laptop bag usually holds a MacBook Air, an iPad Pro and an iBasso DX300 audio player all of which use USB C ports to charge and are compliant with various different standards of fast charging.
At home, my kids can never seem to keep their tablets charged and with batteries in devices getting bigger and bigger it’s becoming even more of a struggle.
Devices like the HUWDER 110W 5 port charging station make keeping all the devices mentioned above a much simpler affair. We’ve been putting one to the test for the last few weeks to see how it coped with some heavy usage both in the office and at home.
Inside the box, you’ll find the charging station itself and a detachable power lead which you can specify for wherever you are living in the world.
It also comes with a stand that can be used to hold the HUWDER charging station vertically. The stand also comes with an additional slot that you can use to prop your tablet or phone up against in place of a stand. Simple but a nice addition.
The charging station measures in at 124 x 84 x 28mm. There are 5 USB ports on the front of the device. Three of them are USB A and two are USB C.
The amount of different charging standards is becoming a bit crazy these days and it’s hard to keep up with all of them. Thankfully the HUWDER charger station is compatible with many of the main ones and can also output at various different voltages and amperages.
Here is a selection of the different standards and power outputs it supports:
USB-C port: PD 5V-9V-12V-15V==3A 20V==5A
USB-C port: PPS 3.3V-20V==3A
USB-A port: QC 3.0 3.6-6V==3A 6V-9V==2A 9V-12V==1.5A.
The device is capable of outputting 110W total and this can be shared across the different ports for simultaneously charging multiple devices.
A single USB C port is capable of outputting a maximum of 100 watts so the HUWDER charger station can charge just about any laptop as long as you ensure you are using a UBC C cable that is capable of carrying the current.
It’s possible to use all five ports at once to charge five smartphones for example and during our testing, we regularly used it to charge a MacBook Air and iPad Pro and a smartwatch at the same time.
With it being compatible with so many standards it is just a case of finding which port suits your device best to charge it as fast as possible.
For charging the MacBook Air and the iPad Pro the two USB C ports were used and both devices could be charged at the same time and as fast as both devices could handle.
My kids Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 tablets are very slow to charge with their included chargers. It was really simple to keep all three charged using the 2 USB C ports and one of the USB A ports.
Quite simply everything we connected to the HUWDER charger station was charged quickly and without any fuss.
For devices as powerful as this it is, it’s important that they come with ample safety protections. The HUWDER charger station comes with over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection. The shell material is also made from fire-proof plastic. Devices like this can get quite hot when under full load so it’s always worth using them somewhere that’s in plain sight and away from anything that could be affected by that heat.
No matter what charger you are using, don’t leave things plugged in overnight charging while you are asleep.
If you have multiple devices to charge in your home or office then this is an easy recommendation. It performed brilliantly while we tried it out. It’s small enough and light enough to take on the road with you and at home or in the office the included stand makes it fit in on a desk easily. It’s a small but very powerful device.
