HTC provides some more info on Ice Cream Sandwich updates

HTC  have shed a bit more light on when their current devices will be updated to ICe Cream Sandwich. Things will kick of with their Sensation group of phones in March with a whole bunch of others ones getting the update “later in the year”

For now this is the list of devices that can expect to get ICS soon. Keep in mind this will only be for unbranded phones and Network updates will sadly no doubt be much further down the road.

ICS update in March:

  • Sensation
  • Sensation XL
  • Sensation XE

ICS update later in the year:

  • Evo 3D
  • Desire S
  • Desire HD

Other phones were also announced but they are mainly American market only devices so we have excluded them. The fact HTC is suffering in sales at the moment is probably motivating them to release ICS to their customers quicker. With Apps like Chrome being ICS only it may be a blessing as it will pu pressure on the OEM’s to deliver ICS a lot quicker than they have with previous versions of Android.  Here’s hoping anyway!
