Another Mid Range phone this time from HTC. Not as impressively spec’d as the “One X” but none the less this would have been a flagship model a very short time ago.

HTC have been on some what of a downward spiral of late, with their phones being criticized for all being pretty much the same. HTC have vowed to go back to basics and create phones inspired by previous models that made them such a success in the Android arena.

HTC phones over the last couple of years had a real sense of being well engineered and constructed from quality materials. With this range of “One” phones, HTC are looking to regain that reputation.

As I mentioned above the spec’s for the One S are quiet impressive but are being made “Mid Range” by the phones being announced now. Here’s a run down on the specs.

  • 960 x 540, 4.3″  display
  • 1.5Ghz Dual Core processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 1650mAh Battery
  • 8MP camera that allows video and stills to be taken at the same time.
  • 16GB built in storage
  • Sense 4.0 launcher running over ICS

Check out HTC’s promo video below. As with the “One X“, it is due for release globally in April.
