How The Internet Of Things Will Change Your Life By Clay Morrison

From the early 90s, we have had the internet – a ‘network of networks’ between devices all over the world, in its simplest terms. Our understanding, however, of what the internet actually means to us and what we do with it has changed drastically over time.

The Internet of Things

A modern understanding of this is the concept of ‘The Internet of Things’. Nowadays, the internet is everywhere, and the Internet of Things is the suggestion that more and more of our basic technology is becoming connected to this giant online network. Everyday items, such as kitchen appliances and clothing, are expected to join within the next few years.

But this is only the beginning. Just a few of the many ways in which the Internet of Things is expected to eventually benefit us are:

Parking spaces that communicate with your car because they’re empty.
Fridges that order milk because you’re running low.
Pill bottles that message you because you’ve forgotten to take a dose.
