HeadBox launches first transactional event booking platform in Ireland

Following 275% sales growth between 2017-2018 and raising £8.2 million in funding, HeadBox has launched in Dublin, their first international city outside of the UK.

Started in 2015, HeadBox has been disrupting the traditional, UK corporate event booking space, with its SaaS booking platform for companies and venues that is being rolled out in Ireland today. The company’s mission is “to reinvent the global events industry through technology” with a unique ecosystem of products servicing three main customers in the corporate events sector: the individual corporate booker, entire companies and organisations and Host venues.

Launching with 800 spaces across Dublin and Ireland on headbox.com, its transactional marketplace for inspiring meeting, offsite and event spaces, HeadBox is also arming some of Ireland’s best-known venues with its new cutting-edge HeadBox 3D venue tours. As part of its Host venues’ proposition, this technology is a proven winner in helping to increase revenue both on and off the HeadBox platform for Host venues.

Julie Manahan, Marketing Manager at Croke Park, Europe’s third-largest sports stadium says, “we were very impressed with HeadBox 3D and how it will enable potential and existing clients to explore the variety of spaces we have available anywhere in the world, 24/7. We’re also very excited to be one of the first venues in Ireland to purchase this product and we’re very much looking forward to seeing the benefits it brings.”

Andrew Needham CEO of HeadBox comments, “today is a huge milestone for HeadBox as we launch in our first city outside of the UK. Dublin is an extremely vibrant city with a fantastic array of unusual spaces for us to unlock and we’re looking forward to connecting those spaces with some of the large global brands we have started to work within the capital. Dublin’s booming technology scene made it a no-brainer for our first international city and we’re looking forward to growing our presence across Ireland and expanding into more European cities during the course of this year.”

As well as bringing the first transactional marketplace for meeting, off-site and event spaces to Ireland, HeadBox has also rolled out HeadBox Business, its strategic meetings and events management software, to a variety of major blue-chip companies located in Dublin to help them centralise their meeting and event spend across their entire organisation.

Needham continues “With our expansion to Dublin we continue to accelerate our position as the industry leader in the UK digital event booking market. HeadBox is well placed to help large corporates in Ireland to deliver digital transformation for their meetings and events across the whole of Europe. We are very focused on helping both our corporate clients and our Host venues continue to solve event booking problems through our technology and software”.
