It is a little confusing to have a product with the name/number 2018 in the title as you then end up wondering is this product five years old and are you looking at an old product. It doesn’t seem to be a 2018 version, so it would perhaps have been simpler to remove this from the product name and description.

The manufacturers are having a fall, yes US terminology, with a link to Amazon.Fr, yes, French, we know, it is hard to see that this suggests they are particularly Irish focussed, or maybe they just haven’t lined up all of their localisation issues yet. Here is the link anyway.

This seems to be an evolving product, based on customer reviews and feedback on previous versions of the model. For our testers it seemed that you had to download an app, which can sometimes be another layer of hassle to deal with. The challenge with a device like this, for the price that you pay for it, is whether it will deliver longevity for you, or will it turn out to be that you get what you pay for it.

The price point on this is low enough for this to be a slight concern. Reviews of previous iterations suggest that various parts wore out quite quickly over time, and that, as sensitivity is lost, the ability to get the precision you want is then impacted. Only heavy duty testing for a long period of time will really answer that one, and it doesn’t look like anyone has achieved that and reported back on it.

This tablet could be very helpful, but, so far, the jury is out for our testers. It’s price is certainly reasonable, but you of course want to get longevity out of it too, rather than just adding one more device to the WEEE collection.
