Leading Irish IT solutions provider Ergo Announced as VMware Partner of the Year UK&I

Leading IT solutions provider, Ergo, has won the prestigious VMware 2023 UK & Ireland Partner of the Year Award. This year’s awards, hosted in Liverpool, were attended by VMware’s leading partners across the UK and Ireland and showcased the best use cases of VMware solutions for delivering end-customer value.

Ergo is proud to be recognised for its achievements as a VMware partner. The VMware business in Ergo achieved a year-over-year growth of 280 percent in the 2023 financial year, included in that growth is a YoY growth of 680 percent in Subscriptions and SaaS business. This continued into the 2024 financial year, with Ergo achieving 560 percent growth in the VMware business in the last 18 months.

This growth can largely be attributed to the culmination of many years of delivering high value transformational VMware projects for customers.

Over the past 30 years, Ergo has developed a relentless customer focus that delivers real business value. Ergo is constantly working to update sales knowledge, technical proficiency and delivery expertise for VMware solution areas. The company has added eight VMware Sales Professionals (VSPs), 17 VMware Technical Sales Professionals (VTSPs), 10 VMware Certified professionals and four VMware Certified Advanced Professional certifications (VCAP) to its Sales, Pre-Sales and Delivery teams.

Ergo has also added three Master Services Competencies (MSCs) to its portfolio with the completion of Datacentre Virtualisation, Network Virtualisation and VMware Cloud on AWS, bringing its total MSCs to four. Ergo is uniquely positioned to leverage the wider VMware ecosystem, bringing solutions to its customers from Dell, AWS and Microsoft.

Speaking about the award Lorne Chedzey, Chief Information Officer and Head of Cloud, said: “We are delighted to see our longstanding partnership with VMWare highlighted with this honour of Partner of the Year. Ergo prides itself on offering innovative VMware solutions that deliver tangible business value for our customers.

“The expansion of our VMware team is a testament to the quality of service we deliver to our clients. We’re proud to see our team recognised for their incredible achievements in this area and look forward to seeing our continued partnership with VMware go from strength to strength.”

Andy Corcoran, UK&I Channel Sales Director at VMware said, “We were delighted to present Ergo with the Partner of the Year Award. It is reflective of the hard work and commitment they have put into providing end-customer value in the application of VMware.

“We greatly look forward to continuing to partner with Ergo as they build on their hybrid cloud and multi-cloud strategy into the future.”

In the past 12 months alone, Ergo has continued to expand its VMware practice into the Financial Services, Life Sciences, and Government sectors, working closely with business leaders to ensure that they are prepared for today, and are planning for tomorrow.
