From kitchen table to building an empire National Women’s event City North Hotel October 5th

Women in business in Ireland are becoming a huge part of the economy. There are numerous Women’s networks and Female influencers online, particularly on Social media. Many of those influencers will be speaking at this national event which will take place at city north hotel on October 5th next.
Conference organiser, Samantha Kelly says ‘Women are great communicators and understand the value of building relationships online and then taking them into an offline setting.’

Samantha started her business from her kitchen table when she created ‘funky goddess’ a first period gift for young girls entering into woman hood. She has since sold this business as she discovered her real talent was in marketing and using Twitter. Through her 33k followers she has created online networks of small business owners including #irishbizparty community and noticing that most of her followers were female, she now has a thriving #womensinspire hashtag which takes place every Tuesday night. This #womensinspire network which now has over 3,000 members on Facebook regularly meets up also.

‘Women are multitaskers, dealing with children, work, housework, organising lunches, babysitters, food shopping, nursing sick children amongst other things. So most of us are naturally helpful and supportive to other women. We can empathise with issues that come up. We are more likely to talk about what is going on for us also. So this could be the reason that Women do so well on social media. The natural instinct to help another is also very valuable especially in business as most successful people assist others and mentor along the way. People buy from people so this basic nurturing instinct also increases sales!’ says Samantha

Speakers at the National Women’s Inspire Network event will include Oonagh O Hagan, CEO of Meaghers pharmacy, Barbara Scully, Anna Scheller from the USA and many more! Early bird tickets are now on sale here.
