From Curiosity to Code with Ehsan Adouane

In a recent podcast episode Melanie Boylan and Ehsan Adouane had a chat about his impressive start in tech when he was just 9 years old. In this chat Melanie asks questions about his orgins and what his enduring mission will be over the coming years.

We hear how he overcame things over the past couple of years and where he thinks tech, AI and education are heading. We hear about his new app and how he can see this shaping the future for youth.

About Ehsan Edouane

Ehsan Adouane, today is a 12-year-old YouTuber and science communicator who’s redefining how kids connect with STEM. Born in London and now based in Dubai, he has built a global platform through his channel EttanEhsan, which has million of views. His content blends coding, science, ethics, and innovation into accessible and thoughtful interviews designed to inspire children worldwide.

By age 6, he was coding, by 9 he had built working apps, and since then, he’s interviewed impressive names such as:

• NASA astronaut Terry Virts
• Tech investor Jack Selby (PayPal Mafia)
• Harvard Professor Elizabeth Bonawitz, on curiosity and learning
• Theoretical physicist Dr. Sylvester James Gates Jr., on quantum physics and the universe

In one of his most recent interview with Prof. Bonawitz dives into why some kids stay curious while others stop asking “why,” how teaching can stifle exploration, and what education might look like if redesigned from scratch — insights that resonate with teachers, parents, and policymakers alike.
