Startupbootcamp, the FinTech and CyberSecurity accelerator program based in Amsterdam, is running an International FastTrack Tour to meet innovative startups from all over the world. The concept of a FastTrack event is simple: 10 startups present their innovative ideas, learn from personalized mentor feedback, as well as connect and network with fellow entrepreneurs from the local ecosystem.

On 30 May, Startupbootcamp will host a FastTrack event in Dublin at Mastercard’s offices.

When is it on?

Startupbootcamp FinTech & CyberSecurity FastTrack in Dublin is on 30 May 2017. From 9 am to 3.45 pm at Mastercard’s offices in Mountain View, Central Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18.

How many years has it been going?

Founded in 2010, Startupbootcamp is a global startup accelerator with 19 programs in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Istanbul, London, Miami, Mumbai, New York, Rome, Chengdu, Singapore, Mexico City, Cape Town, and Eindhoven.

Startupbootcamp’s first FinTech & CyberSecurity program launched on 5 July 2016 in Amsterdam, and this will be its second edition.

What was the inspiration to start the FinTech & CyberSecurity accelerator program?

FinTech is at the forefront of the transformation in the financial industry and is changing the way value and ownership are exchanged, the risk is being managed and transactions are being performed. While this transformation is taking place in all the segments of the industry, security and safeguarding the ownership of assets and data is becoming increasingly important. In today’s environment, CyberSecurity is a priority at board level.

The scale of highly publicized data losses and the need for consumers to feel 100% secure in their financial life prompted Startupbootcamp to raise the bar and add the CyberSecurity as a special component to the FinTech accelerator. We believe that the combination of FinTech and CyberSecurity provides tremendous opportunities, as it will leverage new ideas and technologies that ensure security with seamless user experiences. The program aims at taking the industry to new levels in terms of speed and customer-centricity.

On its mission to find the best entrepreneurs in FinTech, Insurtech and CyberSecurity and help them with personalized feedback and connections, Startupbootcamp FinTech & CyberSecurity is coming to Dublin on 30 May.

What exciting things can startups look forward to for the 2017 version?

The concept of the FastTrack is simple but effective – 10 startups present their innovative ideas, learn from personalized mentor feedback, as well as connect and network with fellow entrepreneurs from the local ecosystem. The attendees can expect to meet some of the most influential mentors and experts in the fields of FinTech & CyberSecurity in the 2017 edition of the FastTrack in Dublin.

What opportunities are on offer for startups attending?

We’re primarily looking for startups to present their innovative ideas to the Startupbootcamp’s team and fellow entrepreneurs, get mentor feedback and learn more about the Startupbootcamp Amsterdam-based FinTech & CyberSecurity accelerator program.

Any startups operating in FinTech, CyberSecurity or InsurTech industries are encouraged to join our FastTrack event. We are specifically looking for the companies in the areas of Blockchain, Payment Solutions, Capital Markets & Asset Management, Automotive Security & Finance, Alternative Finance, Reg Tech, Enabling Technologies, Data & Behavioral Analytics, Cyber Iron & Identity Management, Cloud & Data Privacy, IOT & Drones Security, Pension Tech, Insurance & Cyber-insurance.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Applying for the FastTrack event is different from applying to the accelerator program, although attending the event raises your chance of getting to know the Startupbootcamp team better. We advise the startups attending to also apply for our accelerator program.

Our accelerator program gives you the chance to work with the largest banks, insurers, and pension funds for three months. Normally scoring a proof of concept takes six to nine months. Now you can have the chance to get at least one if not two or three working side by side them.

Our reach is very international: leveraging the entire Startupbootcamp’s global FinTech network.

How can startups book tickets for the Dublin FastTrack event?

Startups can apply directly on the event’s page by filling out the application form by 26 May. Participation is free of charge.

Anything else you’d like to add/we should have asked?
