Expleo appoints Stephen Magennis as Managing Director for UK Quality Business

Expleo, the technology partner for innovative companies, today announces the appointment of Stephen Magennis as Managing Director for the UK Quality business. Stephen, who has more than 14 years of senior management experience in Expleo (formerly SQS and Assystem Technologies), will drive the UK division’s aggressive growth strategy.

Stephen will be responsible for the leadership and development of Expleo’s UK business and will build on the firm’s reputation as the preferred partner for digital transformation, working closely with Jeff Hoyle, Expleo UK Engineering Managing Director.

Stephen joins the UK team from Ireland, where he held the position of Sales Director. In that role, Stephen was instrumental in transforming the business development function and defining a new sales approach.

Under his management, Expleo has achieved exponential growth in Ireland, where the company is now a leading trusted partner for quality services and management consulting in digital transformation.

Expleo has a strong pan-European presence with best-in-class technological centres incorporated into its global network. In the UK, Expleo operates in more than ten cities. The company works in technology-intensive sectors, helping to make business and society more connected, sustainable and secure. It offers unique access to industry-specific expertise and best practice in a variety of UK sectors, including Aerospace, Automotive, Banking & Financial Services, and Energy & Utilities. Its global footprint includes best-shoring capabilities for flexibility, scalability and competitiveness.

Commenting on the appointment, Phil Codd, Regional Quality Business Managing Director for Expleo Ireland & UK, said: “I am delighted to see Stephen appointed to this role. He has been key to Expleo’s growth in Ireland. I have no doubt that he will continue to steer the business towards further growth and will be an asset to the global senior management team. His knowledge and experience of the industry will be invaluable as we look to help our clients transform their operations using technology.”

Stephen Magennis said: “This is a particularly exciting time for our business as industries are transforming through the adoption of disruptive technologies. I remain committed to supporting our clients as they design the products and services that will improve the day-to-day lives of people around the globe.

“Expleo has a strong foothold both globally and in the UK, partnering with some of the biggest names in banking, manufacturing, energy and utilities, to mention only a few. There is fantastic potential for growth. We’re fortunate to have exceptional teams at Expleo and I am excited to lead the one that will take the UK business to the next level.”
