EU launches call for Irish Climate Pact Ambassadors to drive climate action

The European Union is calling for Irish professionals from all sectors to apply for the next round of European Climate Pact Ambassadors by the 31st of October 2024. The European Climate Pact is a movement designed to support the EU Green Deal’s objectives, encouraging every individual to contribute to climate solutions. Ambassadors are key players in this effort, informing, inspiring, and supporting climate action in their communities and networks.

Why Become an EU Climate Pact Ambassador?

The role of an Ambassador is to act as a bridge between the EU’s climate goals and the local actions needed to achieve them. Ambassadors lead initiatives, raise awareness, and empower others to take part in climate action. By sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration, they help build momentum for sustainable change across Europe.

Who Can Apply?

Professionals from all backgrounds and sectors who are committed to climate action can apply. Whether you’re an educator, business leader, researcher, or community organiser, your voice and leadership can make a difference.

Application Details:

Call for applications close 31st October 2024.

More information: Learn more about what a Climate Pact Ambassador does and how you can apply at this link.

The Climate Pact Ambassadors, along with the broader network of European Climate Pact Partners, work collectively to strengthen the EU’s climate initiatives, amplifying their impact and driving positive action on a local, national, and global level.
