Walid started his career as a banker before moving to Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Co. in 2002, with a focus to exporting Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal conferences and event business on international level. Walid moved to Dubai on 2006 where he played a major role in growing the company presence in the GCC and in the UAE in specific. He managed to lead teams as well in Turkey, Switzerland. Always interested in technology, he created a specialized cybersecurity platform, and organized more than 20 events on the topic together with regulators in the region.

On 2014, he created a team to follow all the updates in the blockchain and Crypto space, this lead him to establish Unlock Blockchain on 2018. Unlock Blockchain is considered the one and only specialized Blockchain and crypto media platform in the MENA region, and serves as a content creation and PR agency as well.
