Energia Family Business Awards open for applications

Ireland’s first ever awards to celebrate generations of Irish family businesses across the island that work together has been launched by renowned business commentator Matt Cooper. Applications for the 2019 Energia Family Business Awards, which will recognise home grown businesses of all sizes and local and international reach, are now being accepted via the awards website. The Energia Family Business Awards take place on the 24th of May in the Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin.

Family businesses North and South have always been an important part of the Irish domestic and international market, utilizing generations of knowledge and expertise to form the backbone of the Irish economy. Ireland has seen many family business success stories over the years, and with recent research suggesting that 86% of Irish family run businesses expect revenues to grow in the next 2 years, the Awards aim to celebrate the success of this important economic driver.

– Food and Drink Producer of the Year (Sponsored by Baker Tilly)

– Professional and Business Services Family Business
– Property and Construction Family Business of the Year
– Family Business CSR Award

Speaking about the launch of the Family Business Awards, Katherine O’Riordan, Event Director said:

The Energia Family Business Awards will celebrate and highlight the hard work carried out by family run companies and their efforts to reshape the business landscape. Judges include JJ O’Connell, National Director and Co-Chair of Family Business Ireland, Mark Christal, Manager of the Regions and Entrepreneurship division Enterprise Ireland and Glyn Roberts, CEO of Retail NI among others. Today FM Presenter Matt Cooper is set to host the unique event which will be a one of a kind family affair.
