Embracing technology crucial to future success of law firms—Matheson

Leading Irish law firm Matheson is embracing a digital future for its “Smart Week”, running from 13-17 June.

During Smart Week, the firm will promote tech best practice and highlight the tech innovations that are pivotal in providing best-in-class legal services to clients across all sectors.

As part of the Smart Week initiative, Matheson will host a Tech Forum, with keynote addresses on business innovation with guest speakers from Microsoft, Airbnb and Daqri, and a panel discussion.

The firm will also demonstrate the power of technology to transform legal firm operations, showcasing the latest in productivity-boosting software.

Speaking at the launch of Smart Week, Rebecca Ryan, Partner at Matheson, said that for law firms to remain competitive in the future, the adoption of new software and innovation tools is essential.

Matheson, headquartered in Dublin with offices in London, New York and Palo Alto, employ over 600 people in Dublin. The firm advise seven of the top 10 global technology brands and over half of the world’s 50 largest banks.

It was the first Dublin law firm to establish an IT Law Practice Group and it remains the one and only Irish law firm with a presence in Silicon Valley, where a large number of its tech clients are headquartered; the firm’s Palo Alto office celebrated its twentieth birthday this year.
