Education technology = Edtech

Edtech is a growing area of the Irish Start up scene. With a number of Irish companies already into incubator and start up spaces across Dublin and Ireland. Including dedicated start up space at Versari  it is an exciting time for developing ideas within this sector. There are are many interesting companies out there including Adaptemy , Learning Data  and Alison

The great news is that this Thursday there is a meetup event specifically focused on Irish Ed tech, with presentations from three up and coming Irish based companies.

Below is all the blurb from the Meetup page for Thursday’s event :

Margo Fleming – BookSplits, Cristina Luminea from ThoughtBox and Frank McNamara from SMSTutor will all be sharing their insights and ideas at Edupreneurs Ireland Meetup #3.

• Margo Fleming – Booksplits – provide a very simple solution to heavy schoolbags.

• Frank McNamara – SMSTutor – using mobile technology to enhance secondary school learning with daily texts.

• Cristina Luminea – ThoughtBox – European Pioneers and the incubator experience.

This is a great way to meet new members, network and find out whats going on in the Ed tech scene in Dublin and Ireland.
