Uber have announced that they will be offering free taxi and limousine rides to and from the Dublin polls to encourage people to get out and vote in Friday’s Marriage Referendum.
The free trips will be available to anyone who enters the Uber4Equality promotional code into the app and rides between the polling hours of 7am and 10pm.
Commenting on the initiative, General Manager of Uber in Dublin, Kieran Harte said; “Uber is a passionate supporter of equal rights for everyone in our community. This is an opportunity to make history, which can only be achieved by getting people out to vote. We hope our free trips can help make a difference.”
