Digital Business Ireland, the voice of the digital commerce sector, and one of the country’s leading financial service providers, Permanent TSB, have announced the launch of their annual National Digital Awards – following on from the success of the inaugural Awards programme last year.
Spanning 19 categories, the Awards will recognise the very best in digital and will reward innovators across a range of sectors – all of whom have demonstrated the power of digital enterprise. Entries to the Awards opened on October 4th.
The Awards encompass a number of categories across websites, people and innovation. They include Website of the Year, Digital Trailblazer, Social Media Campaign of the Year, Digital Advocate of the Year and Sustainable Business of the Year – among others.
Businesses and individuals are invited to enter through the National Digital Awards website page. An independent judging panel will adjudicate, and Awards will be presented to the category winners and runners up at a reception in Dublin on Thursday 3rd of February 2022. The closing date for entries is 27th November 2021 – though early entry is advised.
Secretary General of Digital Business Ireland, Lorraine Higgins said: “Digital Business Ireland is delighted to announce the launch of our National Digital Awards, which aim to shine a spotlight on the remarkable achievements of businesses throughout the country. Founded on the premise of celebrating Ireland’s finest in digital enterprise, the Awards will pay homage to online businesses, websites people and suppliers to the industry, and they will provide a national platform for these companies to celebrate their accomplishments.”
Head of Business Banking at Permanent TSB, Mags Brennan said: “Over the last eighteen months, businesses across Ireland have demonstrated great strength, adaptability and resilience, with many needing to completely alter their business models overnight. The National Digital Awards celebrates and champions these businesses, acknowledging all that they have achieved throughout 2021. We are very proud to play our part and partner with Digital Business Ireland to recognise the very best of digital businesses in Ireland.”
