The world of distributed finance continues to evolve and improve as it aims to disrupt existing financial models. Degen VC aims to provide a serious competitor to the venture capital model through their Degen Labs initiative.
Founders Fraser Brown from Ireland and Paul Scott from South Africa who have been around in this space for a while now, believe that thousands of small investors could be the first funders for a series of new and innovative projects. After the turmoil of the 2017 and 2018 ICO token sales, Brown and Scott feel that they have discovered a new secure way to achieve successful crowdfunding in the DeFi space.
By leveraging an innovative decentralised exchange called Uniswap (www.uniswap.exchange) the entrepreneurs have created a new type of project launch. In this new and innovative approach the crowd is given project tokens via an airdrop and then these tokens go on to find their market value on Uniswap.
The approach could potentially be a new radical way to operate. Degen VC developed their proof on concept by launching their own token DGVC. This was initially valued at 2 cents and is now worth over $1
Deven Labs – the project launch studio for Degen VC – is now announcing the first launch project to launch through Degen VC. This is ERCAU, which is gold tokenization as a service on Ethereum with autonomous redemptions. The aim of this project is to transfer the world’s gold reserves into the digital money age. The launch date is 14.00UTC on September 10th
You can read more about the project and the white paper on their website and via this link.
