Deezer releases new desktop app which is now available to all free users

Deezer, the global music streaming service, is improving the user experience through its new dedicated desktop app, which is now out of Beta. By downloading the app, all users should get a faster and more streamlined experience, and will no longer need to open up a new browser window to access 53 million tracks, podcasts and radio straight from their desktop.

Premium users can now also enjoy the new offline mode and listen to downloaded tracks through their desktop without an internet connection. Windows 10 users will benefit from the universal desktop app with an updated look and feel, designed with easy navigation in mind.

Deezer’s desktop app provides an instant gateway for music lovers to discover Flow – a never-ending soundtrack that uses smart data and algorithm to play a unique mix of personal favorites and help users discover new tracks.

Alexander Holland, ?Chief Content and Product Officer, commented: “We believe in a music experience that’s as simple and convenient as possible. When I’m on my laptop I want to access all of my music with minimal disruption to what I’m doing. The new app lets me do exactly that. It also gives users the ability to download their favourite tunes to listen offline, which is a life saver when you are on your laptop remotely or on the move with no internet.”

Deezer connects 14 million monthly active users around the world to 53 million tracks. Available in over 180 countries worldwide, Deezer gives instant access to one of the largest and most diverse global music streaming catalogue on any device. Deezer is the only music streaming service with Flow, the unique mix of all your old favourites and new recommendations in one ever-changing stream. Based on an intuitive, proprietary algorithm and created by people who love music, it’s the only place to hear all your music back-to- back with fresh discoveries tailored to you. Deezer is available on your favorite device, including smartphone, tablet, PC, laptop, home sound system, connected car or smart TV.
