DataSolutions named Distribution Partner of the Year at Check Point’s Irish Partner Awards 2022

DataSolutions, the specialist distributor of innovative IT and security solutions, has announced that it was named Distribution Partner of the Year at Check Point’s Irish Partner Awards 2022.

At the awards which took place in Dublin earlier this month, Check Point – a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions globally – recognised the achievements of its growing partner community in Ireland. DataSolutions was one of nine award winners at the ceremony.

The two organisations have worked together in the Irish market for more than 20 years and are currently running a Check Point Software SMB JumpStart training programme for small and medium sized business. This programme is specifically designed for Check Point partners, equipping them with knowledge around the new line of products which aim to protect SMB customers against advanced cyberattacks.

As well as this training programme, DataSolutions will be hosting a dedicated Check Point SMB Partner Event at the Mayson Hotel in Dublin on the 10th of November. The aim of the event is to raise awareness around the rising risk of ransomware, malware and cyber-attacks increasingly being targeted at SMBs in Ireland, and to support partners helping their customers to manage and deal with such threats.

The event will feature talks by leading experts within Check Point – including Shahar Divon, Head of Global SMB Sales and Seamus McCorry, Country Manager for Ireland – as well as David Keating, Group Sales Director for Security in DataSolutions.

Speaking about the recent award win and upcoming initiatives, Michael O’Hara, Group Managing Director of DataSolutions, said: “It’s fantastic to be recognised for our collaboration with Check Point in Ireland. We couldn’t have delivered the service and success we have without the local Check Point team and our reseller partners, so I am incredibly grateful to them. Going forward, we intend to build on this with more useful initiatives.”
