On Thursday the 21st September, Croke Park will put aside it’s GAA duties to welcome this year’s largest gathering of Data Scientists for the DatSci Awards 2017.

2017 marks a significant increase in both the size and scale for the DatSci Awards, reflecting the growth of the sector. This year’s Awards hosted by Next Generation in association with CeADAR, will bring together more than 400 data science industry leaders and honour those who have accomplished and contributed most in the rapidly expanding field of data science and analytics.

“I was astounded by the calibre and dedication of our 32 competitors at this year’s finals. It was great to hear that some of our finalists have really been using a combination of bleeding edge technology and research and combining this with common sense to create amazing insights and change how their organisations do business.” Laura Kennedy, Head of Data Science recruitment at Next Generation.

Ireland has a bright future as a prominent and respected global voice in one of the fastest growing sectors and this unique event is a central building block in Ireland’s journey to becoming a European 2017 Data Science Hub and this years awards will feature an additional two categories which reflect the wide range of stellar contributions to data science on this island.

Attendees have the opportunity gather at the GeekOut Zone, a dedicated space for the wider data science community to network and socialise. Over 400 Data Scientists and industry leaders will attend the event to not only receive awards, but to share insights and observations and to discuss future trends and developments in the industry.

The data science boom we are currently experiencing is akin to the industrial revolution. This year’s DatSci Awards befittingly celebrate Ireland’s best and brightest contributors to one of the fastest growing sectors in the world.

Your last chance to buy your ticket is Friday the 15th of September on https://www.datsciawards.ie/
