Connected Data London, October 3 and 4, Tower of London
When and where is it on?
October 3 and 4, Hilton Doubletree, Tower of London
How many years has it been going?
Since 2016. This is the 4th year.
What was the inspiration to start it?
Connected Data London is a labor of love. We are practitioners, enthusiasts, data geeks extraordinaire.
Back in 2016, we felt something was missing from the events picture. An event that is focused, but not niche. Inclusive, but selective. An event that is vendor neutral and no-nonsense. An event that gets today’s leaders and tomorrow’s innovators together, and lets everyone mingle and share the knowledge. An event that connects more than data and technology – an event that connects people.
So we made the road by walking, and put our money where our mouth was: we started our own event.
What exciting things can people look forward to?
Connected Data London is the leading conference for those who use the relationships, meaning and context in Data to achieve great things.
We are hosting over 30 leaders and innovators from the world’s leading organizations, sharing their experience in today’s hottest technologies.
Building on a tradition dating back long before analysts like Gartner proclaimed knowledge graphs a key technology of the 2020s, the conference focuses on Knowledge Graphs and Graph Databases, AI and Machine Learning, Linked Data and Semantic Technology.
In our program you will find from musings on a universal data model based on knowledge graphs, to hands-on sessions, industry use cases, research breakthroughs, and lively panels.
Learn from the likes of Microsoft, Uber, Bayer, GSK, JP Morgan, Farfetch, Inrupt, nVidia, Refinitiv, and Siren.io
What opportunities are on offer for those attending?
We offer a mix of today’s hottest technologies, the industry’s most exciting speakers, and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for networking.
October 3 is our workshop day, where you will get the chance to acquire hands-on knowledge and skills you can apply to your everyday work by some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. Introduction to Graph Databases and Algorithms, Building Knowledge Graphs, Knowledge Graphs and Machine Learning for Explainable AI, and Knowledge Graphs and AI to boost SEO
On October 4, thought leaders take the stage to share use cases, technological breakthroughs and insights from industry and research. Our relaxed atmosphere is ideal to engage and network with speakers and peers.
Who will be speaking?
Keynote presentations by Joshua Shinavier, Research Scientist at Uber, and David Gorena, Microsoft AI Program Manager, will explore the present and future of knowledge graphs at scale, from philosophy and cognition in Search of the Universal Data Model, to AI applications in the cloud powered by the Largest Graph of Human Activity at Work ever Created.
The conference also features leading experts and practitioners from the likes of Bayer, GSK, JP Morgan, Farfetch, Inrupt, nVidia, Refinitiv, and Siren.io
What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?
What we do is more than an event. This our passion and our day-to-day work, and we keep a close eye on all things Knowledge Graphs and Graph Databases, AI and Machine Learning, Linked Data and Semantic Technology.
If you follow us on social media, subscribe to our newsletter, and come to our Meetups, you will be able to boost your knowledge all year long, come prepared for the big event, and catch some of our special offers too!
