Universal Robots is taking its highly flexible cobots on the road to give Irish manufacturers the opportunity to witness how adaptable and user-friendly they are. Read on to find out more.

Have you thought about automating your operations but are not sure where to start? Then join Universal Robots as it brings its highly user-friendly and flexible cobots to Ireland throughout spring and all the way into autumn! If you’re thinking about adopting automation, want more information on the benefits of collaborative robots, or if you’d simply like to see where they may fit into your operations, then sign up for one of the events and get all your questions answered by leading industry experts.

In a time of growing labour and skills shortages, it is essential for businesses to have the right tools to keep operations running, no matter what. At the UR+ Workshop Tour, you can hear directly from industry experts about how to best optimise production efficiency through cobots and automation, get hands-on with the cobots and see for yourself how they can help with your unique automation needs.

UR believe that automation really is for everybody. In order to demonstrate the wide variety of tasks that cobots can be programmed to carry out, a wide range of UR + partners will also be exhibiting their automation solutions at the events. These include Cobots.ie’s Snap Welding application by ARC Specialites and Robotiq’s HandE Grippers and Force Co Pilot. OnRobot and Pick-It 3D will also be at the event presenting their own robotics solutions.

The next stop of the Tour is Limerick on the 28th of May. Places are filling up quickly, so make sure to sign up for here to reserve your space.

To register for one of our other upcoming events in Limerick, Galway, Athlone, Dublin, Kerry and Cork, or to find more information about the UR+ Workshop Tour, please visit https://info.universal-robots.com/ne/ie/urplusevents2019.

Still need inspiration? Then read on to find out how FT-Produktion increased its productivity without hiring additional staff by deploying collaborative robots:

FT-Produktion, a Swedish machine shop supplying machinery to a wide range of customers including carmakers, construction companies and the furniture industry, significantly increased production and efficiency at its factory by implementing cobots into their production line. In case of future labour shortages, the cobots have secured the continuation of operations at FT-Produktion, as they can take over the most repetitive tasks around the factory floor, which were previously done by human workers. This frees existing staff to focus their energy on more rewarding tasks requiring human intuition, which no robot could ever replace.

Given the wide range of tasks and volumes in the manufacturing industry, flexible automation was absolutely essential for FT-Produktion as they needed the cobots to be able to be re-deployed to different tasks at short notice. The cobots enabled factory operations to become more responsive to customer demands, and can now offer greater product diversity than ever before. Since implementing the cobots, FT-Produktion has significantly raised its output and saves over 500 hours when manufacturing a series of 150,000 parts, without having had to raise input.
