Coinaphoto and The Digital Hub come together for a photography challenge in Dublin 8

Here’s a chance for you to put those photography skills to good use while celebrating the spirit of the Liberties and also win prizes!

The Digital Hub is Ireland’s largest cluster of technology, digital and internet companies and they’ve partnered with Coinaphoto – the digital marketplace of original photography – for an exciting photo challenge.

This challenge aims to bring out the essence of the area that comprises Dublin 8, and is open to everyone above the age of 18. The central theme of the competition is ‘Dublin 8 is Great‘ and the entries thus submitted will be displayed on Coinaphoto’s website.

Entries may be submitted from October 9th, 2017 until November 6th, 2017, while the winners will be announced on November 16th, 2017. Prizes worth €550 are up for grabs as well as the unique opportunity to be featured in Coinaphoto’s upcoming social media campaign.

All photographs submitted to Coinaphoto for the competition must highlight what defines the Liberties and surrounding areas of Dublin 8 and will also be available for purchase to buyers from around the world through the company’s online platform.

Coinaphoto is a vibrant global community and digital photography marketplace of over 100,000 members with a social media reach of over 3 million. The company established their office in Dublin at The Digital Hub campus in 2016. Users of its platform have the opportunity to earn money for their original photography while also being able to participate in exciting photo challenges from time to time.

Welcoming the partnership with The Digital Hub, Shahab Mirza, CEO of Coinaphoto said, “Coinaphoto prides itself on locally relevant social stock photography. The idea of bringing local photographs from one of the most buzzing districts of Dublin to our platform is very exciting as it will showcase this wonderful area of Dublin from a very unique perspective.”

He also stated that the company has been keen to promote and encourage the Liberties area in Dublin ever since they set up their office in the same area last year.

Pleased with the collaboration, CEO of The Digital Hub, Fiach Mac Conghail said, “The Digital Hub is passionate about helping innovative digital companies succeed and being an active supporter of the local community.  We are delighted to partner with Coinaphoto on this exciting photography competition which challenges those who live, work and visit the Dublin 8 area to capture its unique spirit through digital photography.”

The judges of the photography challenge will include Jim Dawson, Digital Design Executive at The Digital Hub, Jurate Tilmanaite, Strategic Partnerships Manager at Coinaphoto and Tim Bingham of Public Lens Street Photography.
