Chinese Opportunities For Ambitious Irish Companies, 26th October, Republic of Work, Cork

By @SimonCocking

When and where is it on?

Thursday, 26th October 2017 Republic of Work, 12 South Mall St. Centre, Cork

What was the inspiration to start it?

This is the first time that the Ireland China Business Association (ICBA) has hosted an event in Cork aimed at ambitious start-up /emerging Irish companies.
The ICBA, with kind support from Finnair and in partnership with Republic of Work, have recognised the need to host a Sino-Irish event focused on educating and inspiring ambitious Irish companies on the business opportunities that are presented by the Chinese market.

What exciting things can people look forward at the event?

For this event we have a selection of excellent speakers lined up including DC Cahalane (Republic of Work), Alan Clayton ( SOSV), Miriam Kinsella (Transfermate) and Joe Perrott (Remote Signals). Their range and depth of experience of doing business in China promises to deliver a unique quality of insight for attendees. We are also delighted that Susie Horgan, Springboard PR & Marketing and ‘Cork Businesswoman of the Year’ will be MC for the morning.

What opportunities are on offer for people / startups / investors and companies attending?

There will be the opportunity to learn first-hand from people who have done business in China and have learned some valuable business lessons as well as some excellent networking opportunities before and after the mornings presentations.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Book your place as soon as possible and arrive early to enjoy a complimentary breakfast provided by Dukes Coffee Company.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

We have limited space available. To sign up for a free ticket, register your interest at:

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?

Attendees will get the chance to ask questions to the presenters in person or through Twitter using #IrelandChina17.
