What is your background briefly?
I love to innovate. Better ways, better systems, more efficient processes. My utmost fulfillment is in seeing ideas come to life. An early exposure to programming afforded me the creative environment to solve problems. I have over a decade of experience in programming, using several languages (Java, Python, C, VB.Net, Javascript, Lisp, Solidity etc.), operating systems and development tools to build and manage production scale software while holding diverse technology roles in startups.
I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng) degree from the Department of Computer Engineering, University of Benin. During my university days, I founded SMSLeak, a bulk SMS service and gateway provider that enabled users send bulk messages online at a cheap rate. In India, as an international exchange student in Manipal Institute of Technology, I wrote programs for image processing, feature selection and representation in a Research and Development environment. I was a founding member of Codev, a student club that equipped protégés with foundational knowledge on software and embedded systems programming.
I have been obsessed with the concept of a decentralized Internet since my first experience with writing smart contracts for the Ethereum blockchain.
Does it seem like a logical background to what you do now?
I say yes to that.
1 min pitch for what you are doing now?
As Chief Technology Officer of Cura Network, I am committed to leading the long-term technology vision of this project. We are building a platform that is actually usable by the non-technical populace. Our design goals are geared toward maximum inclusion of all entities; even Lower and Middle Income Countries (LMICs) with dysfunctional health systems. I will leverage existing technologies while pushing for thorough research and development that deliver sustainable software systems.
Why did you get involved with this ICO?
I got involved to raise funds for scaling Cura Network platform on a global level. I believe decentralized systems are disrupting the way data and identity are shared. I love to bring a project that makes healthcare more accessible and safe to thousands of users.
Why do you think it is such a powerful idea?
I have been involved in this vision from the very conception of the idea. By providing smooth interoperability across stakeholders in global healthcare and serving as a unified platform for powering health service applications, I think Cura Network is a solid foundation for inclusive health systems of tomorrow. I believe this project is worth every resource it gets.
