CeADAR, Ireland’s Centre for Applied AI, has launched a new course to help professionals develop practical prompt engineering skills for use within their organisations.
The fully funded online course, developed by CeADAR’s European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) for AI programme, combines hands-on prompt design with critical evaluation of AI outputs.
Prompt Engineering for You will help professionals use generative AI tools effectively, safely and responsibly in real organisational contexts.
Enrolments are now open, and you can sign up here. There is no technical or coding background required to participate in the course which is funded by the European Commission and Enterprise Ireland.
This is CeADAR’s second online course. The first – AI for You: AI and the EU AI Act – has reached over 5,000 subscribers.
This Prompt Engineering for You course aims to empower professionals to confidently and responsibly use generative AI, while supporting the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment’s “AI – Good for Business” initiative.
In the new course, learners will gain hands-on skills for working with text, image, audio and video Generative AI tools while understanding the risks, limitations and responsibilities associated with AI adoption.
Over five modules, participants will learn:
The course can be completed at your own pace and is aimed at professionals at any stage of their AI journey who want to build confidence in using Generative AI tools.
Participants who complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion from CeADAR’s EDIH for AI programme.
CeADAR’s Director of Innovation & Development & EDIH for AI, Ricardo Simon Carbajo, said:
“With so much noise surrounding AI, it can be difficult for people and organisations to know where to turn for trusted guidance. At CeADAR, our goal is to cut through that clutter and help organisations navigate as they adopt AI. Building on the success of our ‘AI for You’ course, CeADAR is now releasing ‘Prompt Engineering for You’ to continue equipping organisations to confidently live and work alongside these technologies.”
