Following on from Gordon’s Article on What is Carrier IQ there has now been an App released for Android devices to check if Carrier IQ is present. It is still in the early stages of development but it is available for download now from the Android Market. The developer is stating that it’s accuracy is not reliable at present but the App will be updated soon.

Update: The App has been updated a couple of times over the last few days and have improved it’s accuracy. I ran this on my own phone, an SGSII on the O2 Network and it is showing that there is no Carrier IQ installed on the phone. It will be interesting to see what phones and networks this shows up on.
