Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

We help Brands with Apps understand their users, and communicate with them in new & exciting ways that benefit both the brand and the users. This improves customer retention and increases ROI.

It’s easiest to explain with an example –

Take a sports team that have a fan app like a Premiership football team or a European Rugby team. We help them understand when and where people use their app. Using our technology they can communicate with a user who comes to a match and goes and sits at the top of the terrace, before kick off. They can send this user a message rewarding them with an offer of pitch side seats on the half-way line at a reduced rate or maybe even for free if they are a very loyal fan. The fan can accept and go and move right there and then.

This is just one example but we work with all types of brands including  brands in the retail, news & media, sports & leisure and financial sectors.

How are you different?

We have a number of unique selling points. We offer a range of enterprise grade solutions including dedicated private cloud offerings for larger organisations. These have been proven in the financial sector. We are a one stop shop for mobile marketing automation solutions including: analytics, notifications, In-App messaging, segmentation, geo-fencing, iBeacon, attribution of app installs, online retargeting and more. Our location technology is unique in terms of accuracy, ease of use and scalability, you simply add our SDK to your app and can add thousands of locations on the platform later at your leisure.

Why will the company / product do well?

It is a very exciting time to be involved in mobile and online marketing automation. We are operating in a multi-multi billion dollar global market that is still emerging and evolving daily – the opportunity in this market is enormous. We have an amazing team, creating a great product that is getting huge traction in the market. We are also lucky enough to have grown without taking on large equity investment so we are still nimble enough to evolve quickly to exploit new opportunities.

Where are you based? How long will you stay there?

Waterloo Lane in Ballsbridge, the broadband is very good, we couldn’t base ourselves somewhere without good broadband. We still have plenty of space to expand the team in our current offices, so we won’t be moving anytime soon.

When was the company launched?

18 months ago.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

To date our biggest win has been our deal with Gravity4 but you should watch this space as we have more announcements in the coming months that will add significant value to the company, and enhance our offering for our clients.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

We have a major focus on enterprise clients in the financial, betting and public sectors. The app market is so broad we attract all kinds of clients from a wide range of sectors like retail, news and media, transport, sports, hospitality, gaming and we can work with any brand that has an app.

Tell us about your team?

We have an amazing team of 12 in Dublin right now. We will be looking to double that in the next year or so.  We have been very lucky with the team we’ve put together so far they have a wide range of experience and skills, and the strength of our team is at the heart of our success. Growing the team won’t be easy as recruitment is one of the biggest challenges facing small tech businesses but we have been very lucky so far.

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

We aim for the company to be a €100M business in 3-5 years and to be a leader in our marketplace with our product.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

Being in the mobile business I’m obviously obsessed with smartphones but I have plenty of other favourites. I couldn’t survive without my Mac-Book Air, if you travel a lot for work and want to work on the move it can’t be beaten. it’s properly portable but is also a real work horse. For sports I love my Nike+ watch, I do a lot of cycling and if you do a memorable route like a famous Tour de France climb up Ventoux it’s great to have a geo record and be able to play back your cycle.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

A never-ending battery for my phone. Smartphones are revolutionising the way we live, work and play but constantly charging devices is a pain. A breakthrough in battery life or battery charging that will dramatically reduce how often you have to plug in your device is probably the number one wish of most smartphone owners. Whoever cracks it will make a lot of money.
