By @SimonCocking. Great interview with Hannes Lenke from TestObject.
Describe the company – the elevator pitch …
TestObject is a leading mobile app testing provider, offering comprehensive testing infrastructure. Our proprietary technology, supported by top open source frameworks, allows app developers and QA teams to shorten their product release cycles through sustainable testing environment. We specialize in crafted solutions and support enterprises through automated and manual mobile testing on private and non private clouds of real testing devices.
How are you different?
Many mobile app testing tools are just an extension of software testing tools, favoring manual testing and not being specific enough for mobile devices. TestObject was created specifically for mobile app testing, integrating from the very beginning both automated and manual testing as well as a basic QA testing tool ready for use, giving TestObject’s customers an all-in-one easy to use testing solution for mobile apps. TestObject platform has a fresh and intuitive UI with the essentials for powerful testing, made by developers for developers and QA with a hint of very nice, crisp and modern design. Lastly, compared to other options in the market we deliver a high quality service for a very reasonable price.

Why will the company / product do well?
The complexity of mobile testing is something that cannot be overlooked, with that huge mobile device fragmentation, operating systems testing manually on few devices in-house just isn’t enough. More and more companies are adapting agile development approach and need automated testing supports that. What it means in practice? Before, testers had to wait for developers to finish writing the code in its entirety before the code can move on to the testers. With a more agile methods dev teams and QA teams can work at the same time. As soon as developers write a piece of code, fix a feature or add a feature, the testers can run the tests to check if everything is still working and that the new parts are working properly as well. This is where TestObject comes in, we provide all the necessary testing infrastructure to make mobile testing easy.
