Reganwall Business Showcase

Describe the company – the elevator pitch…

ReganWall is a dedicated business law firm that specialises in providing pragmatic, solutions-driven advice. We have particular expertise in advising ambitious businesses in knowledge-based industries.

We offer strategic and innovative legal counsel regarding mergers and acquisitions, investments, debt financing, intellectual property and technology projects, and commercial contracts to some of Ireland’s most ambitious companies and entrepreneurs.

How are you different?

The clients we work with expect their law firms to be agile and in tune with trends in the Irish business landscape. As a result, we are offering a different kind of lawyer – someone who can be a trusted adviser across the full corporate and commercial spectrum.

We are also offering innovative charging structures that are linked to the successful completion of strategic transactions, thus aligning ourselves more closely with our clients’ objectives. In general terms, we have managed our cost base in a manner that we hope will enable us to pass on the benefit of these efficiencies to our clients.

Why will you do well?

I, (Adrian Wall) have worked in this area for 25 years and have previously headed up the corporate department of a top 10 Irish law firm. ReganWall co-founder, Kieran Regan, is also an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, with strong transactional experience.

We were seeing a rise in corporate activity nationally, particularly in the tech sector, and identified a gap in the market for a business law firm that was more in line with the needs of these clients.

We have the right skillset, experience and contacts to successfully advise on and deliver strategic corporate transactions.

Where are you based?

We have recently moved into new office space in Cork’s City Quarter.

When was the company launched?

We officially launched on February 27, with the announcement of six new roles.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

We are seeing strong interest in SaaS based companies with recurring revenues. Ireland boasts a stable of these kinds of companies, often with international reach and customers, and we count a number of these companies amongst our clients. Indeed, so far this year we have represented the founders on the sale of software company Scannell Solutions to Ideagen Plc, which is AIM listed.

Scannell Solutions’ software is used to provide companies with a fully integrated environmental health, safety and quality (EHSQ) solution. It has about 100 customers including Coca-Cola, BASF, Bentley, ESB and Heineken.

Who are you trying to attract to your product?

We work primarily with technology, healthcare and life science companies with strong intellectual property and blue chip customers. These companies are being acquired or invested in by corporates and financial institutions with a global reach, and we offer bespoke strategic advice to ensure successful completion of these complex transactions.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

Make sure you plan ahead to ensure you have the right resources to meet demand. We scaled faster than we had predicted and had to adapt quickly in terms of staffing and office space.

Tell us about your team?

I have worked in this area for 25 years, previously heading up the corporate department of a top 10 law firm. Kieran is also an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer. We currently employ two others, in support roles. We will shortly be hiring other lawyers to strengthen our team.

What are your plans for the future?

We will also be expanding our client base, nationwide. To meet that expected growth, we are currently hiring for six roles to be filled in the next six months. We are looking for experienced, driven corporate and commercial lawyers, that are a match with our firm’s internal culture and ethos.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

I am delighted with my brand new Huawei P20 Pro smartphone!

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

We are transitioning to a paperless filing system and we are looking at how we use iPads and similar devices to take notes of meetings.

Anything else you’d like to add/we should have asked?

Yes. We strive to connect our clients with others in our network who may help them on their journeys. We see ourselves as influencers and connectors.

How do people get in touch with you?
